Remainder of 2021 Season

On Friday 13th August, Football Queensland released its roadmap for return to football and what the remainder of the season will look like. The full press release can be found here.

Note: numbers in blue indicate the round number, CU - catch-up

In summary:

Please note - these dates are correct as at 15 August, keeping in mind the current embargo on community sport continues until Sunday 22nd August. If the Queensland Government extends or reduces the embargo, then these dates will change.

  1.  All competitions can return to training as of Monday 23rd August. Matches will resume starting on Friday 27th August. The draw will be reviewed and updated - you will be able to check on the draw at this link.

2. Mini-roos (U6 to U11) - there are 4 rounds remaining, and the competition will finish on Saturday 18th September.

3. Junior Competitive (U12 to U16)  - The competition will conclude on the last weekend of the school holidays for U12 (with any catch-up games that need to be played), and on October 8 for the remainder of the grades (also with any catch-up games that need to be played to complete the competition. 58% of clubs voted for 'no finals' for these age groups (we were not one of the 58%), so there will be no finals for these divisions. We are unsure if there will be any 'competition winner' decided - if we get any further information from FQ, we'll update this notice.

4. Under 18, City Women - Round 15 (the weekend of the original lockdown) will be concluded on the weekend of Aug 27, and then the competition will continue through the school holidays (with the middle weekend - Sept 24/25/26 - being designated a catch-up round). Semi-finals (1 v 4 and 2 v 3) and finals will be played on the weekends of Oct 1 and 8 respectively.

5. Capital League Men - Slight rearrangment of rounds, and will play through the holidays. The weekend of Oct 1 is the designated catch-up round with semi-finals (1 v 4 and 2 v 3) and finals will be played on the weekends of Oct 8 and 15 respectively.
