Miniroos 2026 Season: Important Information

When does the season (matches) start?

The season starts on Saturday 2 May 2026. The last weekend will be the last weekend of Term 3.

How can I see the draw for my child's team?
The draw is posted in Squadi. If the player is registered under your name, you will automatically see the draw. If another member of your family or friends want to see the draw, then, in the Squadi app:
  • choose "Draws"
  • use the menu option (top right)
  • use the "Add a team or league" and search.
(Note - the team will not be visible until the draw is completed and published - we'll let everyone know via socials and email).

When is the draw released?
The draw will be released during the Easter school holidays, but is completely under the control of Football Queensland. We (North Pine) have no say or control over it.

Miniroos new

North Pine SC participates in MetroNorth club football for our mini-roos players. Boys and girls from ages 5 to 12 play small-sided games on Saturday mornings. All games are either at home (Bob Brock Park) or away at clubs close to Dakabin (as far North as Caboolture, south to about Aspley and out to Redcliffe).

  • Games are refereed by club referees, following modified rules
  • North Pine provides coaching one afternoon per week (increasing to two afternoons for the older players)
  • Small-sided football provides more opportunities for players to touch the ball and more opportunities to score goals.
  • Points are not kept and goals are not recorded - the idea is to have fun.

Mini-roos typically commence their season after the Easter school holidays, and the season finishes before the September school holidays.
